COACHES WILL BE................

KEN HOEY  -  Ken has been a coach in the Long Island Royals Youth Hockey system for the past eight years and head coach for the Jr. Royals for the past two years. .  Prior to the Royals Ken coached professional hockey in Italy with the Val Rendena Wolves.  Ken also coached two years at the Junior A level in Bismarck North Dakota with the Bismarck Bullets.    Ken played Division I  hockey at Kent State University and then two years of minor league hockey in the East Coast Hockey League and the All American Hockey League.

 

DAN TALIA -  Dan enters his third year as a Rebels head coach taking on the Squirt Minor team this year. Dan will also be assistant coach on the M16U team. Dans' playing career took him through Europe, Ireland, Germany, and France. He has been the skating pro at Dix Hills Ice Rink for the past 15 years. Talia’s impressive coaching resume brings with him experience at the junior level where he has been an assistant coach on the National team Jr. Royals. In his role as assistant coach for the M16U Dan will be responsible for helping develop players in order to make a smooth transition into Jr. Hockey. Dan Talia has accepted the position of coaching Director of the Bantam and Midget teams in the 2010-2011 season.

 

TONY COLOMBO - Tony will be sharing his time this year between the Junior Royals, Rebels Peewee Minor and Rebels Midget 18 teams.  Tony played professional hockey in the Central Hockey League  with the Memphis River Kings  and the  South East Blades and Winkler Flyers in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
