Each year the Jr. Royals players participate in a community service project for the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island located in New Hyde Park.   Last week all of the players were at the house and we were told there were several items (such as paper towels) that the house was in need of

If you don’t know what the Ronald McDonald House is or what they do, you are lucky.    When a child is hospitalized and scared, the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine a doctor can prescribe. The Ronald McDonald House is a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children undergoing critical medical treatment in area hospitals. A two-minute walk from the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York, the House provides a comfortable and supportive environment, helping families through their most difficult time.  The house is known as “The House That Love Built”.

The following is a wish list of items the house needs now and on a daily basis.    Starting this Saturday evening and for the next two weeks we will have a donation box in the lobby of the Dix Hills rink.   We are asking our Rebels and Lady Islander  family to bring in an item on the list each time they come to the rink.  Lets fill the box several times over.

Join the Jr Royals team in a fundraiser for the house, just go to RMH-LI Cup website  http://rmhlicup2013.kintera.org  and register under the Jr Royals team.
