Long Island Rebels Midget 18U  team  will be playing in the   Eastern Junior Elite Prospects League for the 2014-2015 Hockey Season in cooperation with the Long Island Royals.

The Rebels Midget 16U team  also in cooperation with the Royals will be playing in either the Eastern Junior Elite Prospects League or National Youth Hockey Alliance League based on the strength of the team. 

The Rebels will be putting their 12U, 13U and 14U teams into the Eastern Junior Elite Prospects League for the 2014-2015 season.

The Midget 18U team and the Midget 16U A team have both advanced to the finals in the LIAHL Championship.  The M18U team, finishing fourth in the Long Island Hockey League standings downed the very tough first place Freeport Arrows 5-3 and the Midget 16U A team played the Skyliners to a 2-0 win.  Both games were played at Abe Stark in Brooklyn.  The Finals on Sunday will be a Great Neck-Rebels showdown as both the 18 and 16 U teams advanced for the Bruins.

Congratulations to the Pee Wee Minor team, Runner Up of Long Island Championship!!!

Congratulations to the Bantam Minor team, Long Island Bantam A Champions!!!

Both teams competed in the LIAHL Championships this weekend at Dix Hills, the Pee Wee minor team made it to the finals by beating the Brewster Bulldogs 4-3 on Saturday.  Sundays final was against the undeafeated Aviator squad who bettered the hard fighting Rebels in the finals 9-0. 

The Bantam Minors also won their opening game on Saturday 4-3 against a very strong Edge team placing them in the finals against another strong team, Apple Core of Long Beach.  In regular season play, the undefeated Beach handed it to the Rebels outscoring the minors 17-2 in the match ups.  But today was a different story! The Rebel Bantams came out flying, and at the final buzzer, saw them on the plus side of a 5-3 score and earning the title "Long Island Bantam A Champions" !
