On the Morning of September 4th a devastating fire left Dix Hills resident Dee Dee Philips & some of her rescue animals hospitalized & homeless. Sadly one cat did not survive. The burned out homeowner cares for 31 rescue animals & is in need of pet food or gift cards. Click here for additional information
The hockey season is upon us very shortly. Please ensure that your coaches are signed up for a USA Hockey Class (module completed)- before entering your rosters. ALSO- Coaches must be updated on Safesport, and Screened as well. The 9/9 Goalie Seminar will also count for Level 2 and 3, along with Level 3 recertification. Click here for an open seat list for classes in our area. Please go to USA Hockey to find the nearest class. All coaches and assistant coaches are required to attend a LIAHL coaches meeting this year since it is a USA hockey rule change year This is a mandatory requirement. The league calendar (click here) has all the dates and locations with the first at bethpage I recommend coaches attend the first local one so they do not have to travel during the season
