Banner Year for the LI Rebels, Lady Islanders & Dix Hills Hawks!!

As the 2017-2018 hockey season has come to a close for many of the youth hockey teams in our area, our organizations are still going strong.  This year has proven to be the most successful in our history and has the chance to far exceed all past successes.   Below is a list of the accomplishments our teams have made for their respective organizations thus far:

The Rebel Mites – Champions of the Pond Ice Center Presidents Day Cup

10U A Rebels – 10U A East LIAHL Playoff – Advance to Finals

10U AA Rebels – 1st Place LIAHL season, LIAHL Playoff qualifier

12U A Hawks- HVHL Playoff qualifier, LIAHL Playoff qualifier

12U Rebels Milner – EJEPL 1st place season, EJEPL Playoff qualifier

12U AA Rebels- East Zone NYSAHA Sectional Qualifier, EJEPL playoff Qualifier, Potential for NYSAHA State Championship

12U AAA Lady Islanders – EJEPL Playoff runner up, NYSAHA Tier 1 Championship qualifier

We would like to congratulate all our teams on the tremendous year so far and wish those still in post season the best of luck!  LIAHL Championships are hosted by Dix Hills 2/27 -3/4 (Schedule can be found on LIAHL website).

The organizations will have some great news for our players as we prepare for the 2018-2019 season.  Watch the websites for tryout info, coaching announcements and program expansion…..

Another LI Rebels team is heading to a championship game! 

The LI Rebels Bantam Minor team beat the Vipers 3-2 in a semifinal game advancing to the championship game which will be this Tuesday 2/27 at 6:20pm at Dix Hills Ice Rink. 

Come down and support the team!! Go Rebels!!

The LI Rebels Mites team won the championship at the President's Day Cup Tournament @The Pond Ice Center in Delaware this past weekend. The final game against the Mercer Chiefs was a nail biter! With less than 5 minutes left the LI Rebels Mites came back from a 7-3 deficit to tie the game and force a sudden death overtime.  8 minutes into overtime the LI Rebels Mites drew a penalty that resulted in a penalty shot and scored to win the game and the championship!

On Sunday February 18, 2018, the Long Island Rebels Midget 16U team clinched the first place seeded position in the 2018 NYS Championships in Buffalo. The LI Rebels secured their position by going undefeated in this weekends 5 game play-down, also securing the LIAHL championship.

Next step is the AYHL playoffs, then Buffalo!
