WHAT IS BUDDY SKATE?-    For the past six years the Rebels have  invited the Genesis School For Autistic Children to bring their  students, families and staff to the Dix Hills Ice Rink for an evening of ice skating, food, and fun for all.   Players from the Rebels teams Peewee Minor, Peewee Major, Bantam Minor, Bantam Major, Midget 16 and Midget 18 are asked to donate a few hours of their day to help the students from the Genesis school ice skate in a safe environment. 

PARENT  VOLUNTEERS-    This years Buddy Skate will be the best we ever had and we need Rebel parent volunteers to make it happen.    We need parents  from the teams to help organize the efforts in this event.   On Buddy Skate day these parents will assist in the overall running of the event.

Each team will be asked to bring a specific food item to help with the event.

SPONSORS-    The sixth annual Long Island Rebels “Buddy Skate” will be held on December 26^th 2009 from 6:30 to 8:00pm at Dix Hills Ice Rink.    We expect this to this to be the biggest and best “Buddy Skate” of all as over 40 students from the Genesis School for Autistic Children are expected to attend. 

The Rebels could use a little help from their friends sponsoring the event this year.   For a $50 sponsorship you will help us make it a great day  for these kids and your sponsorship will be noted on the back of our “Buddy Skate” shirt handed out to all participants.

We plan to have a  day of  safe ice skating, food, deserts,  gifts and surprises for these special students.  

A small $50 sponsorship will help make this a great day.
