Rebels Looking to Bring  Back  Midget 18U Hockey……

The Rebels have had several inquiries regarding the decision not to field a M18U team next season…to sum it up, there was not a whole lot of interest last year and with all the so called Junior teams popping up left and right grabbing kids right down to the Mite level, they have all but eliminated the M18U pool. 

The organization is always trying to do what is best for the players so we are taking a poll to see if there is enough interest to try to field a team.  Depending on of the level of interest  and other organizations decisions on 18U teams we may be able to do a tournament bound team, however ice is very limited at Dix Hills until January, so what we are proposing is an 18U team that has ample practice from spring to fall.  From September to December, maybe 3-4 practices a month at Dix Hills and additional ice at other rinks if available.   Then  in January (or when the 2^nd rink opens) additional ice slots will be available.    If  there is not enough interest to do a tournament bound team we may be able to do a few tournaments and exhibition games.
